Play Poker » Christmas and New Year Celebrations with Xmas UKOPS at Sky Poker a Success
January 17, 2012
Christmas and New Year celebrations went quite well at Sky Poker. The poker site ran a special promotion called Xmas UKOPS between 27th and 30th December. The event was largely inspired by the phenomenal success of the previous session of UKOPS. It was held in autumn. Lucrative wins were made in the session. At the end of the event, players gave enthusiastic and positive feedback on it.
Four Events in Xmas UKOPS
Last year’s Xmas UKOPS featured four events. £100,000 guaranteed prize pool was offered. In addition, £72,000 was awarded for side events. These ran along with the main real money poker tournaments. The impressive prize pool was a good enough reason for a large number of poker fans to enroll for the event.
Satellites Each UKOPS Event
Satellites were held before each of the UKOPs events. Players entered them by paying modest sums of cash and made a lot of money at the end. With a wide range of buy-ins, the satellites attracted players of various categories. The satellites came with buy-ins as low £2.70. Tournaments with higher buy-ins were also held.
Impressive Cash Wins made on UKOPS
Xmas UKOPs recorded significant victories. Event 1 kicked off on December 27th. It was a No Limit Hold’em tournament. The winner took home a decent sum of £5,274. The second place of the tournament was won by Geldy. He walked away with £3,328. The third place winner, Tyger received £2,332.
