Party Poker is offering poker enthusiasts the chance to enter Aussie Millions 2012 for free. The site is giving away luxury packages worth $16,000 to the event that will be held in January this year. The main event in the tournament will start on the 22nd of January. It will go on till the 28th of the month.

Two Routes to Aussie Millions at Party Poker

To win the package, players will have to enter qualifiers. These events are being held online by the poker site. Players from Australia and those from the rest of the world can qualify by entering separate qualifiers. Players can make their way to the Aussie Millions by entering the free-rolls that take place everyday on the site.

To enter the online events, players will have to register for the qualifiers at PartyPoker.com before 8th January. There are two ways to enter the Aussie Millions Satellite from which players can get an event package. One is by playing in the satellite events and the other by playing in free-rolls. Players who opt for the latter will get the opportunity to play everyday for free.

The players who make it to the top twenty-five will get an entry to the Speed Re-buy which requires a buy-in of $2. Every time $74 hits the prize pool, an entry to the Satellite Qualifier will be awarded. Players also have the option of entering the Satellite Qualifier directly, through Sub-Qualifier Speeds which has a daily $8 requirement. One of ten players in the Satellite Qualifier will get to play in the Satellite, from which one player of twenty-five will get an Aussie Millions package.

$16,000 Package to Aussie Millions 2012

The $16,000 package to the Aussie Millions comes with several components. One of which is $11,400 as buy-in amount for the main event. It also includes a $2,500 allowance that players can use for personal expenses. The package provides accommodation for eight nights at the Crown Promenade Hotel.

Online poker qualifiers have been one of the key routes players take to enter grand tournaments. In the past, players like Tyron Krost entered a qualifier and bagged a package to the Aussie Millions. Following this, he landed a first place win that earned him AUD $2 million. Aussie Millions’ Main Event holds the record for being the most rewarding in the Southern Hemisphere. It typically comes with a prize pool that exceeds AUD $7 million.
